Las Vegas, Nevada: Jewelry, Chocolate, and Championship Rings

Am I feeling dizzy from too much chocolate? Or is it the Championship Ring in my hand?

Today, we will shop for unique, one-of-a-kind treasures. The shops underground, beneath the hotels, contain lots of high-end beautiful jewelry and clothes such as Cartier and Van Cleef and Arpels. You can get those items anywhere.

Finding great items is really easy. The hard question is ‘do I need this?’ We instinctively want to take home a memory but the photos are often sufficient. If you prefer a physical memento then let’s see where to find them.

Ideas Available In Good and Bad Options

Up To a Whole New Level: What kind of sorcery is this?
Speechless: My lizard brain is stuck and unable to think of anything else.
Yes, Please: Give this person a Nobel Peace Prize.

Chocolate

Vegas has a thriving, internationally-recognized chocolate scene. A few of the ‘must sample’ chocolatiers include

  • SWEET SIN LV: Check out the beautiful menu! Ponder the one-of-a-kind chocolate fountain that winds across the ceiling while you devour a donut.

  • Jean-Marie Auboine Chocolatier: With a constantly updated menu, you will find options such as the Valentine’s Day Collection of exotic heart-shaped bonbons inspired by precious gemstones like ruby, white opal and sapphire for the perfect romantic gesture. These chocolates are served in the most exclusive hotels of the world so take an extra box of chocolate home with you (and hide it for later). This is their retail factory shop and you won’t find better prices or customization elsewhere.

  • Astor Chocolate: Come here (daily) for decadent desserts that melt-in-your-mouth. They take chocolate very seriously and were the first chocolatier to import pure Belgian chocolate to the US and yet offer fun packaging if you need gifts. Or just something fun a few hours later.

  • Dandelion Chocolate: This bean-to-bar chocolate maker is renowned for its small-batch chocolate. Purists will sport a silly grin over the single-origin chocolates that have only two ingredients.

Meow Wolf's Omega Mart

Meow Wolf is an immersive art installation located inside AREA15, and its on-site store, Omega Mart, offers one of the most unusual shopping experiences in Las Vegas. The shop itself is part of the larger art exhibit and sells quirky, mind-bending products that blend surrealism with souvenirs.

Gold & Silver Pawn Shop

Did you wonder if I have lost my mind? Possibly but this pawn shop might be familiar to you from the show Pawn Stars. Stories abound of finding silver bars, championship rings, Cartier necklaces, and more at steep discounts. Need a little cash to keep the game going? Have an extra Championship ring? Pawn it over. The Gold & Silver Pawn Shop is a very interesting look at what people will sell quickly to keep ‘winning’ at the blackjack table.

Of course there is so much more shopping in Vegas. These were the places that consistently bring joy to my family and friends (souvenirs) and I keep on my ‘must do’ list for each trip. And yes, I’ve been known to drive home with a cooler on my passenger seat, filled with chocolates, to thank the dog sitter.

Tomorrow, we will share a summary from this week in a single location so you can find it easily when planning your trip.

See you tomorrow.
