Sahra Spa, Salon & Hammam at The Cosmopolitan

Are we still in Vegas? Who care? This is great.
Leave the smoke and chaos of Vegas behind as you walk into the Sahra Spa, Salon & Hammam at The Cosmopolitan. This is where you learn the meaning of sanctuary cities. This spa doesn’t try to escape the desert, it uses the desert as inspiration for relaxation and healing.
Upon entering the Sahra Spa, you are immediately enveloped in an ambiance reminiscent of expansive desert canyons and starlit skies. The spa's design features natural walls inspired by slot canyons, with veins of silver threading throughout, while silver ceilings mimic nights lit by the moon and stars. Long, dramatic hallways lead to experiences that aim to balance, clarify, and calm the mind and body. This is the perfect place to detox from your “bad” decisions the prior evening.
Need to burn off a little bit of belly before heading to the spa?
JavaBurn found a clever way to use coffee to burn fat.

The sun is harsh outside but everything is calm inside
Sahra Spa offers a diverse array of treatments to find the perfect way to heal and restore yourself. You should definitely try the Red Flower Hammam Experience, a fragrant ritual of heat, steam, massage, detoxification, and relaxation. This treatment uses eleven flower oils and fruit essences, beginning on a warm stone, while basins of relaxing water are poured over your body, followed by a vigorous Coffee Lemon Blossom Olive Stone Scrub, and concluding with a purifying Jasmine Rose Rhassoul Clay and Cardamom Amber Oil application. I don’t usually like a lot of scents around me because they make me sneeze. Even with all of those different scents, everything harmonizes together into an experience that makes you consider calling out “sanctuary” and refusing to leave.

I’ll be over here, soaking away the stress.
Another fantastic choice is the Moroccan Journey, a 130-minute indulgence that transports you to exotic Marrakesh. This private ritual begins with a luxurious cleansing using black neroli soap, followed by dual exfoliation with a traditional kese mitt body buffing and soothing shea butter bamboo scrub. Next, experience the detoxifying benefits of a rhassoul mud masque and moisturize with a Kalahari melon hydrator. Throughout the experience, you are enveloped in the eucalyptus steam room and relax while immersed in a large soaking tub, culminating in a full-body Sahra Signature Massage. If I had to collect all of these different oils, creams, and lotions to do this at home, there is no way I would have the time. You go to Vegas for these experiences because they have full-time staff who focus on making sure that everything is perfect. Your job is to thoroughly enjoy it.

I can live here full time, right?
The special hammam room, spacious enough for four, features heat emanating from the floor up, a large warm slab, two deep-soaking tubs, steam rooms, and loungers to complete the experience. There is even an extra-large Jacuzzi, which offers a cool mist feature to close pores after a relaxing soak. The luxury spa's salon includes two makeup chairs, six mani-pedi stations, and ten spots for hairstyling, ensuring you can walk out looking fabulous for the night ahead!
The Sahra Spa is my perfect sanctuary. I plan to stay here until they call the Concierge to find an enticement to get me to leave.
See you next Wednesday.
